Peter
Aiken
is an award-winning, internationally recognized thought leader in
the area of organizational data architecture and engineering. As
a practicing data manager, consultant, author and researcher, he
has been actively performing and studying these areas for more than
twenty-five years. His sixth book is titled XML in Data Management
and is co-authored with David Allen. He has held leadership positions
with the US Department of Defense and consulted with more than 50
organizations in 17 different counties. Dr. Aiken\'s achievements
have resulted in recognition in Outstanding Intellectuals of the
21st Century and bibliographic entries in Who\'s Who of Emerging
Leaders in America, Who\'s Who in Science and Engineering, and other

Duffie
Brunson is a senior principal for financial services at Knightsbridge
Solutions. With more than 30 years of experience in financial institutions
as both a banker and a consultant, he has been involved with leading-edge
developments within the industry, including the creation of the
automated clearinghouse, the debit card, in-home transaction services,
co-branded credit cards, electronic payment networks, financial
advisory/planning services and integrated customer data warehouses.
Duffie
holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and
an MBA from Georgia State University. He is a graduate of the Seidman
Auditing School at the University of Wisconsin, and the Stonier
School of Banking at Rutgers University. He has served as a member
of the ABA's Operations and Automation Quality Council, as a faculty
member of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado, and as a lecturer
at the Universita' Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, Italy.
Malcolm
Chisholm is a leader in the fields of master data and reference
data management, as well as the implementation of business rules.
His two books, Managing Reference Data in Enterprise Databases and
How to Build a Business Rules Engine have been invaluable guides
for many professionals working to better utilize the information
assets of their enterprises.
Malcolm runs two web sites www.refdataportal.com and www.bizrulesengine.com
and undertakes numerous consulting assignments as well as speaking
engagements. In addition, he is a frequent contributor of written
articles to industry publications.
Elizabeth
Davis is a founding member and Unit Leader of the four-person
Information Quality Group ("IQ Group") within the International
Finance Corporation (IFC). IFC is a multilateral finance institution
of 2,700 global staff with a mission to "promote sustainable
private sector in developing countries."
Chris
Deger is a demonstrated leader who enjoys problem solving through
working with all levels of an organization. As a Vice President
at Wachovia he has been responsible for establishing & leading
the Risk Data Governance Program and the Process & Governance
Group for Corporate & Investment Banking Technology. In this
capacity he has developed (organizationally & functionally)
and staffed both organizations from the ground up. These groups
develop and implement processes directed at ensuring compliance
with all internal and external governance initiatives (i.e. BASEL
II, SOX, corporate policy & standards).
Chris
holds both Process Management & Project Management (PMP) Certifications.
His diverse career and domain experience has afforded him the opportunity
to mentor & teach for over 27 years. His military career in
Army Special Forces provided him the opportunity to experience high
performance teams first hand and to develop the ability to build
and manage those kinds of teams.
Janet
Kampf Firestone is the Data Administrator for the Florida Department
of
Health (DOH). She created the first Integration Competency Center
in a
state agency in Florida. Her team received form NASCIO in 2002
recognition for implementing Enterprise Data Integration Architecture,
and has received a Davis Productivity award for accomplishing Electronic
Lab Reporting for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Janet is
currently developing the Data Governance policy for DOH and a Metadata
Repository prototype for Knowledge Management.
Jonathan G. Geiger is executive vice president at Intelligent
Solutions, Inc. Geiger has been involved in many corporate information
factory and customer relationship management projects within the
utility, telecommunications, manufacturing, education, chemical,
financial and retail industries. In his 30 years as a practitioner
and consultant, Geiger has managed or performed work in virtually
every aspect of information management. He has authored or co-authored
numerous articles and three books, presents frequently at national
and international conferences, and teaches several public seminar
Pamela
Hulse has over 25 years experience in healthcare operations
and information management. Her strength lies in developing and
revitalizing business and systems operations by maximizing people
and processes through strategic reengineering and culture change
management. Pamela is known for deploying a subtle, yet effective
approach to align information technology with business needs to
drive execution. Pamela is currently Director of Data Governance
and Compliance for Healthcare Analytics. She previously served in
various business and technical capacities at the Mayo Clinic and
as a Consultant for business reengineering and enterprise application
implementations in healthcare. Her accomplishments include introducing
Data Governance and co-sponsoring the Metadata Project at Wolters
Kluwer Health, ensuring on-going compliance with contractual and
regulatory requirements within Healthcare Analytics, and developing
clinical research programs for Mayo Clinic, and revitalizing clinical
practice business operations and systems for select organizations.
Pamela has a BS in Business Administration/Management and a MS in
CIS from the University of Phoenix, and is a Certified International
Privacy Professional. She is member of DAMA, IAPP, and ITSI.
Michele
Koch has over 23 years of experience in structured analysis
and design techniques for both process and data modeling. The first
10 years of her career she spent as a consultant providing systems
analysis and design leadership using CASE tools to Fortune 500 companies.
She is currently a Senior Manager of Data Administration at Sallie
Mae. She has been responsible for client/server and mainframe DBAs
as well as the data modeling team. Michele received a Masters degree
in MIS and Computer Systems Applications from The American University
and a bachelor's degree from Cornell University.

David
Plotkin is the Manager of Data Quality at Wells Fargo Consumer
Credit Group. He manages a group of people charged with establishing
metadata methodology, defining and enforcing data quality, providing
subject matter expertise to projects, and building a corporate-wide
set of rules around these topics. He has been instrumental in setting
up data governance, and has been involved in metadata, data modeling,
stewardship, and data quality for more than 20 years.
Beth
Anne Posey is a Knowledge Management consultant having worked
in private
and government industries. She has developed medical Information
Technology (IT) systems outside the United States and for the State
of Florida. Beth Anne as a project management professional understands
what it takes to start with a concept and finish with delivering
a value-added system. She believes that the value of IT systems
is derived from the quality and integrity of the data delivered.
Ian Rowlands is Senior Director of Product Management at
ASG responsible for the definition of ASG's enterprise metadata
repositories, ASG-Rochade and ASG-Manager Products, for the creation
and implementation of product launch and delivery plans and for
creation and management of partner relationships. Prior to joining
ASG, Rowlands served as Director of Indirect Channels for Viasoft,
a leading Enterprise Application Management vendor that was later
acquired by ASG.
Rowlands
has worked extensively in metadata management and systems management,
and presented at conferences world-wide, including DAMA and CMG.He
is a standing member of the British Computer Society.
David
Schlesinger was Intel Corporation's RBAC Data Policy Architect
and developed a metadata driven regulatory governance automation
process that is being implemented at Intel Corporation. He has 20
years experience in technology communications, Quality Methodology,
and Information Security. Along with a CISSP security certification,
David has a Masters in Organizational Management, is a longtime
member of DAMA, and President of the Phoenix Chapter of the Information
Systems Security Association (ISSA). Intel Corporation has applied
for two patents using his process.
He has started his own consulting company: Metadata Security &
Compliance, and is working on a book describing the use of metadata
to drive regulatory compliance at every point where sensitive information
is disclosed, stored, and used.
Robert
S. Seiner is the President and Principal of KIK Consulting &
Educational Services, LLC, a consultancy focused on designing and
implementing best practice solutions in the areas of Data Governance
& Data Stewardship, Meta-Data Management, Data Management Programs
and Data Architecture. KIK, standing for "knowledge is king",
provides consulting and mentoring services as well as private and
public seminars in these data management disciplines.
Mr.

Silverston is an author, consultant, and speaker with over 25
years of experience helping organizations integrate their information
and systems. He is the best-selling author of "The Data Model
Resource Book" series, which describe over 230 reusable, holistic
data models and which was rated #12 on the Computer Literacy Best
Seller List. Mr. Silverston has published numerous articles sharing
his insights about re-usable models and how to integrate information,
systems and people. He has been a columnist for Data Management
Review and has been a frequently invited speaker at many international
conferences. He has delivered many seminars on politics and human
dynamics, providing inspirational and empowering thoughts and ideas.
He is the winner of the DAMA International Professional Achievement
Award for 2004. Mr. Silverston has been as advisor for DAMA International
for the past 2 years and has helped manage and develop numerous

Anne
Marie Smith, Ph.D. is a highly acclaimed author and speaker
in the fields of data stewardship and governance, data warehousing,
data modeling, project management and metadata management. She holds
a doctorate in Management Information Systems and has taught at
LaSalle University. Anne Marie serves on the board of directors
of DAMA International and is an expert advisor to DM Review's Ask
the Experts. Anne Marie is the Director of Education and Principal

Kimber
Spradlin recently joined Embarcadero Technologies, bringing
more than 10 years experience in the Information Security industry.
She started her career at Ernst & Young specializing in IT compliance;
helping Fortune 500 organizations meet both regulatory and internal
information security requirements. This included developing risk
assessment, compliance, policy management, and product evaluation
programs. She then spent 5 years at NetIQ, responsible for driving
the strategy and marketing around the company's policy-based security
products and sharing her regulatory compliance expertise with customers
in all types of industries. She also regularly works with industry
analysts from such firms as Gartner, META (now Gartner), and Forrester
on these topics. She is a frequent speaker at industry associations,
has published several articles in information security magazines,
and has presented at conferences. Kimber has a bachelor's degree

Thomas is President of The Data Governance Institute, a private,
vendor-neutral organization dedicated to providing practical assistance

training, and implementation assistance. Gwen also serves as publisher

Gwen

Jason
Tiret has over seven yrs experience with Embarcadero Technologies
