Rachelle Desjardins is a chartered account with over 25 years of business experience. She has been with Export Development Canada for 15 years, starting as an internal auditor and holding various business positions within the Insurance Group and the Risk Management Office. Matt Eversmann has 20 years of active duty in the US Army. During his active duty, Matt and his unit deployed to Mogadishu, Somalia to capture a fugitive warlord wanted by the United Nations for genocide and other atrocities. Veronica Lares is an economist and political scientist with more than 15 years of international business experience. She has been with EDC for 9 years. She started as a senior economist in the area of country risk, then moved to the international relations department, and recently started working with the Enterprise Information Management team. Tran Q. Ly is a Data Strategist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, primarily involved in the current implementation a formalized data governance structure. This initiative includes mapping systems architecture, terminology standardization, master data management, and other endeavors centered on advancing data literacy, data integrity, and a data driven culture. Tran previously worked in population health management, healthcare data analytics, and life science strategy consulting. Aya Smith began her journey for data quality assurance nearly 20 years ago while working as a research assistant at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System when her Economist stated, “the economic model looks fine but why does the data look so odd?” This simple question led to a variety of positions including a Financial Systems Analyst role supporting the FFIEC where she worked to identify and correct poor data quality and compliance issues and Business Analyst positions at Booz Allen Hamilton and Fannie Mae where she ensured data quality in a data warehouse environment. She transitioned into the Data Stewardship role in July of 2015 where she continues to explore data quality assurance at an enterprise level. Lori Yackanicz, Administrator of Clinical Informatics at Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), is a 20+ year healthcare veteran. She serves on the Board of Delaware Valley HIMSS, where she participates in the Program Committee and serves as a member of the HIMSS Business Intelligence Committee. At LVHN, Lori has implemented various major technology initiatives, including Computer Physician Order Entry (CPOE), Medication Bar Code Administration, and Ambulatory EMR across 80+ office practices and EPIC.
