Eric Chason is the Global Head of Data standards for Citi’s Chief Data Office. He has been with the CDO since its inception in 2010, and was a member of the team which developed the Global Data Roadmap, Citi’s end-to-end data management strategy, in 2009.

Prior to joining the Chief Data Office, Eric ran the Business Architecture competency for Citigroup’s Architecture and Technology Engineering group (CATE), architecture and solution-design support to Citi’s business units.

Eric joined Citi in 2005, from IBM’s Business Consulting Services group where he provided Technology Strategy consulting services for IBM’s clients including Citigroup, Bloomberg, S&P, and other Financial Services companies.

Prior to business consulting he was an architect and developer in the telecom-datacom space, designing and developing networking devices for companies such as Siemens, Racal-Datacom, and Fujitsu.

Eric has a B.S. in computer science from the University of Florida. He was a member of the Florida Army National Guard with a Military Occupational Specialty of Infantry and later, Military Intelligence (Counterintelligence). He lives in Forest Hills with his wife and 7 year old son

Maria joined SAP in 2009, following a long career as a respected practitioner, author, trainer and consultant in helping major companies build and execute enterprise strategies in Enterprise Information Management.  Her book, Managing your Business Data: From Chaos to Confidence was published in 2009, and her articles have been published in The Data Warehouse Institute (TDWI), Information Management Magazine, and the International Association of Privacy Professionals.  Maria is also known for her E-Learning internet courses on Data Governance and Data Stewardship.

Prior to joining SAP in 2009, Maria has held executive positions in IT, Data Management and Software Development within the high tech and financial services industries.  In data management, Maria has managed worldwide teams responsible for data strategy, data quality, data architecture, data stewardship, governance, master & enterprise data warehouses and business intelligence.  Maria created IBM’s first Business Information Center of Excellence (COE). IBM’s BI COE won several best practices from TDWI in data governance and business intelligence.  Maria has implementation experience in both Operational and Analytical Master Data Management (MDM), this includes customer, product, supply chain data, Sales Management Analytics as well as Capital Markets Analytics.

Maria holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Masters of Science in Information Systems from the University of Miami.  She resides in Florida with her husband.
