While at Booz Allen Hamilton as part of the risk and compliance analytics team, he was a member of the CMMI Data Management Maturity Model development team and is a certified Enterprise Data Management Expert (EDME). In 2011, Ms. Cook took an opportunity in the Clinical Services Group to oversee the Vocabulary Standardization Project and partnered with corporate IT&S, Field IT&S and the Terminology Vendor to successfully ensure the mapping of clinical terms and data elements to Industry Standard Nomenclatures in order to meet MU Stage 2 requirements. She is currently serving as Data Quality Manager.

Her education career started at the California Chancellor's Office of Community Colleges where she supported a computer network and managed disabled student data. Sonya oversees data governance and education technology, including leading development of the common data architecture for the statewide longitudinal student data system; managing development/support of the system used by school districts to apply for federal funding; establishing data management policies; and building staff capacity in data management. Sue Geuens started in Data Management during 1996 when she was handed a disk with a list of builders on it and told they were hers to manage. Sue mentions this as fate taking over and providing her with what she was "meant to do". Various data roles later, her clients numbered 3 of the top 4 banking institutions in SA, a number of telco's and various pension funds, insurance companies and health organizations. Sue was the initial designer of data quality matching algorithms for a SA built Data Quality and Matching tool (Plasma Mind). This experience stood her in good stead as she slowly but surely climbed the ladder in Southern Africa to become the first CDMP in the country. Sue worked tirelessly on starting up DAMA SA with the successful Inaugural meeting in February of 2009. She was unanimously voted as President just prior to this event and became Past President at end of 2015. Sue is the current DAMA I President.

Michael has been the Data Resource Guide Coordinator for over three years, responsible for quality control monitoring and coordinating department wide activities and initiatives to ensure the department-wide data inventory data is up-to-date and complete in the department’s data inventory system. Michael has previously worked as a Registrar for Bryan College in Sacramento, and as Director of Research and Education at The Graduate University for Advanced Studies (Sokendai) in Japan. After serving as Director of Data Integration and Production Support for CareWise Health, he joined the Arizona Strategic Enterprise Technology Office (ASET) in 2012. ASET, a division of Arizona’s Department of Administration, provides IT services and regulates Information Technology policies, standards and project oversight for state agencies. Jeff’s role with ASET’s Business Engineering Group includes defining the State’s IT strategy and roadmap as well as leading the state’s Data Management Program. Jeff is also an avid photographer and shows his work at two Phoenix-area art galleries.
