Peter Richard Benson is the Executive Director of the Electronic Commerce Code Management Association (ECCMA). Peter served as the chair of the US Standards Committee responsible for the development and maintenance of EDI standard for product data; he was responsible for the design, development and global promotion of the UNSPSC as an internationally recognized commodity classification and for the design of the eOTD, an internationally recognized open technical dictionary based on the NATO codification system. Peter is the project leader for ISO 8000, the new international standard for data quality, and for ISO 22745, the new standard for open technical dictionaries and the exchange of characteristic data. Inderpal Bhandari is Vice President of Knowledge Solutions and Chief Data Officer, responsible for appreciating the business value of Express Scripts’ strategic data assets and for maximizing the utility of the company’s data and its readiness to respond to emerging competitive pressures and market trends. In this role, Bhandari creates products that transform data into insight and knowledge. Prior to the Express Scripts acquisition of Medco Health Solutions, Inc. in April 2012, Bhandari also led legacy Medco’s Agile Enterprise strategy team, serving as the business owner of the data strategy. Before joining Medco in December 2006, Bhandari served as the CEO of Virtual Gold, Inc, a data mining software and business consulting company he founded in 1997. From 1990 to 1997, Bhandari was a member of the research staff at the IBM Watson Research Center, where he won several prestigious awards for his pioneering work in data mining algorithms and their successful application to IBM's businesses. Bhandari’s business and technical contributions have been featured in both technical journals and mainstream media, and he has been invited to make keynote presentations at several prestigious conferences. With 15 years of experience in technical training and education, Anne Buff joined DataFlux in 2011 as a thought leader on the DataFlux inSight team. Barbara Deemer is the Chief Data Steward at Sallie Mae. In that role she leads the Data Governance Council which is comprised of representatives from all Lines of Business. Lindsay Depree is the Data Quality Manager at Sonic. and has been with the company over 5 years in the Internal Audit department. Lindsay was one of the first business users to attempt to use the data in the relatively new Sonic data warehouse. It quickly became evident that there were widespread data quality issues that were preventing the audit analytics team from reaching their goals. As a result, Lindsay spent most of her time hounding the Business Intelligence team on data issues, which would eventually lead to a partnership and the start of a Data Quality Program at Sonic. Jayne Dutra has spent the last 15 years working with controlled vocabularies, metadata and other information structures that allow users to navigate large knowledge collections for effective retrieval of data. From 2002 until 2008, she was the Manager of the NASA Taxonomy, which was the first official taxonomy by any U.S. federal agency. For the last three years, Jayne has been at LexisNexis developing Data Governance strategies and initiatives to improve data quality across enterprise legal and business content sets. Dara Efron has directed the Client Data team at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. for the last seven years. Don Gray is the Global Head of Data Quality for Citi In this role he is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing execution of Citi’s data quality program worldwide as well as serving as the Senior Policy Officer regarding data quality for the company. The program encompasses data quality framework, tools, professional development, operating model, measurement and reporting, issues management and resolution, and continuous improvement. Mr. Gray also holds the role of Data Management Risk Officer for Operations and Technology, an organization with more than 100,000 associates. Prior to his current roles, Mr. Gray held executive re-engineering roles at Citi and in Bank of America where he built out new structured engineering capabilities that drove large-scale quality and productivity gains. Cynthia Hartman is a 40-year veteran of The Hartford. Most of that time has been spent as a business data management professional, with time served in a variety of analytical positions in The Hartford’s statistical data reporting area, the field coding liaison area, and Personal Lines Underwriting. Her extensive work over the years on complex business projects covering a wide variety of lines of business, systems, business functions, and data issues/problems has given her a robust perspective on data at The Hartford. This knowledge was a perfect lead-in to her assignment to the Enterprise Strategic Data Services Unit (ESDS) six years ago. Eileen Koski is Director of Data Governance at Express Scripts, responsible for the planning, implementation and management of the Enterprise Data Governance program. Prior to joining Medco Health Solutions, Inc., which was acquired by Express Scripts in April 2012, Koski worked in medical informatics and health information technology (HIT) in both academic and commercial settings. As Director of Informatics Research at Quest Diagnostics, Koski delivered innovative designs for graphical laboratory reports; detailed analyses of large-scale medical data sets that have been presented at peer-review scientific meetings; and innovative ideas for biosurveillance and pandemic preparedness. She also represented the interests of the laboratory industry in numerous government initiatives, task forces and panels as a recognized subject matter expert, such as ANSI HITSP Population Health Technical Committee, the NGA State Alliance for e-Health Health Care Practice Task Force and the AHIC Biosurveillance Data Steering Group. Koski also worked at Columbia University, where she was responsible for designing and developing medical database systems and reporting representations, as well as working as Director of Operations on a large multi-center NIH-sponsored clinical trial. Grant Robinson is a natural resource scientist working for the NSW Office of Water in the Department of Trade and Investment in New South Wales, Australia. His experience analyzing and managing natural resources information, particularly forestry and water resource data began in 1981. In 2008 he was appointed to a new role as Information Quality Coordinator for the state agency's water monitoring unit.
