Bill Brooks has been modeling, managing and integrating data since 1995, beginning at CID Associates developing application databases, then at Children’s Hospital Boston as manager of the Decision Support Systems Group.  He managed a team of Informatica integration developers at MFS for several years, and is now the lead Data Integration architect for Global Investment Technology.

Bill’s background includes traditional relational database design, data warehouse design and implementation, taxonomy development, data and metadata governance and enterprise application integration using a variety of ETL, message broker and recently, service bus and SOA approaches.  Bill has worked for enterprises in multiple industries, including healthcare, finance, and construction management and has architected numerous projects to improve metadata availability and management.  Bill generally prefers not to use the word “architected,” but will write it when necessary.

Sunil has published a book called The IBM Data Governance Unified Process that details the fourteen steps and almost one hundred sub-steps to implement an Information Governance program. The book is currently in its second print and has also been translated into Chinese.

Sunil is working on another book called Selling Information Governance to the Business: Best Practices by Industry and Job Function that reviews the best way to approach Information Governance by industry and function.

Sunil has held various sales and marketing roles within IBM Software.  Prior to his current role, Sunil was the Director of Worldwide Channels & Alliances for InfoSphere within IBM Software Group where he worked with a number of partners around their Information Governance practices. 

Prior to joining IBM, Sunil worked at the Financial Services Strategy Consulting Practice of Booz Allen & Hamilton in New York. Sunil lives in New Jersey and holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
