Lisa Brown serves as Director of Fannie Mae's Enterprise Data Stewardship program, initiated in January 2015.  She is responsible for business adoption and execution of the program in concert with other enterprise data capabilities. Previously, Lisa dedicated 10 years to directing strategic planning and daily operations for provisioning enterprise data that supports Fannie Mae's credit risk management, financial reporting, fraud detection, and regulatory reporting. Prior to Fannie Mae, Lisa provided consulting services for 15 years, delivering information solutions that meet complex enterprise objectives.  Her successes were achieved through effective leadership of cross-functional teams comprised of federal government, industry, and business leaders. Lisa has a BS degree from Miami University's (Ohio) School of Business.  In 2013, she was 1 of 12 selected for Fannie Mae's Women in Operations & Technology program.  She is Certified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM) and ITIL.

Barbara Deemer has recently assumed the role of  VP of Financial Systems and has retained her responsibilities as Chief Data Steward at Navient. In that role she leads the Data Governance Council which is comprised of representatives from all Lines of Business. Barbara has 30 years of experience in the Accounting, Finance and Servicing areas. She was the Controller of the Company from 2000 to 2003 until she took an extended leave of absence. She returned to Sallie Mae in 2005 to work on data improvement projects and is now in her current role at Navient focusing on Data Governance and Data Quality and managing the Financial Systems for the corporation.

Barbara graduated in 1982 from George Washington University with a BA in Accounting.

Carrie Fawcett joined TIAA in June of 2015 and is currently responsible for the development and implementation of business-led, data governance practices and capabilities at TIAA. Prior to joining TIAA, Mrs. Fawcett worked as a Data Steward Executive at Bank of America.  During this time, she lead the implementation of data practices for Corporate Finance including BCBS 239/Risk Data Aggregation strategy  and the implementation of authoritative data sources inclusive of adoption and remediation.  Mrs. Fawcett also has experience in the development of common customer master data.

He has met engineering challenges in supporting a variety of technology-driven businesses, including cybersecurity, mobile platforms, online advertising, lead generation, OLAP, media, entertainment, and new language development.

Instrumental in launching the Sears online home services labor market ServiceLive.com, Mr. Herschberg also helped fix NBC's online video marketplace, the predecessor to what is now Hulu.com. In academia, Mark spent a year at Harvard Business School working with finance professors to create the upTick system now used to teach finance at many of the top business schools.

Among the founders of the Undergraduate Practice Opportunities Program \at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at which he lectures annually, Mr.Herschberg also teaches at SUNY Levin Institute.

Michele Koch is the Director of Enterprise Intelligence and the Data Governance Office at Navient.  Michele was responsible for the successful design and implementation of the enterprise Data Governance and Data Quality Programs at Navient.  Their Data Governance Program won the 2011 Data Governance Best Practice Award.  She is also responsible for the data modeling team who provides support to development teams and the business user community, the enterprise data warehouse team, and the business analytics team.  Her 35 years of experience include applying structured analysis and design methods for process and data modeling, managing client/server and mainframe DBAs, and consulting at Fortune 500 companies. Michele received dual masters’ degrees in MIS and Computer Systems Applications from The American University and a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.

Previously, Michael dedicated 12 years to managing Fannie Mae Single Family data development and production processes including business requirements, vendor management, governance, training, data quality, and ongoing improvement. 

Prior to Fannie Mae, Michael provided consulting services to primary and secondary mortgage lenders in their efforts to load, integrate and provision data; and redefine functions and processes based on mergers and acquisitions. 

Michael has a degree from the ICM School of Business and is a candidate for Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
