Successful Enterprise Data Modeling
This
seminar will explore the enterprise data model in depth. Participants
will learn why companies create enterprise data models and become
aware how the factors of detail, abstraction, time and function
influence the final design. Based upon actual examples, the instructor
will share the reason why certain modeling efforts succeed while
others did not. Three different approaches to building the enterprise
data model will be discussed. Naming standards and model layout
will be discussed as well. Exercises will be used to reinforce key
concepts.
