Information Strategic Planning Information Strategic Planning (ISP) is the basis for making information technology (IT) and development decisions. This seminar presents a systematic approach to achieving this. Attendees will learn how to derive their information strategy and plans from their business strategy. ISP is also the cornerstone for meeting information needs and providing a shared data environment. Attendees will learn how to plan for this. Attendees will also learn how to develop a common Information Architecture that can be used to jump start development projects. The ISP project plan identifies a schedule of projects, defined to support all levels of needs: operational or production, functional management reporting, information warehousing and decision support systems. This seminar uses proven techniques to perform an ISP project and to measure the success of its end results. ISP is broken into a set of major tasks; within each task, a set of steps is performed to achieve the desired deliverable. Each of the steps has a simple and easy to understand example. A case study is used to provide practical experience. Objectives
