Data Warehouse Methodology
This course describes the Corporate Information Factory and why its development needs to be approached as a program. A methodology for developing
the data warehouse is described in three major sections.
- The program section describes the coordinating forces that are designed to ensure an enterprise perspective and
extensibility.
- The project section describes the steps needed to define and scope individual projects, to develop the associated data
warehouse and data mart(s), and to deploy the result into production.
- The administration and operation section describes the activities needed to ensure that the data warehouse and data
mart(s) are effectively applied and maintained.

- Understand the importance of approaching the Corporate Information Factory as a program
- Learn the critical steps needed to develop and manage the data warehouse and data marts
